"A Day on Authentic Catholic Womanhood" held at the Maryvale Institute in England last month was a wonderful gathering of women who were inspired and excited about the beauty and dignity of 'woman', especially John Paul's contribution in this area.
The speakers were Ana Cristina Villa Betancourt, of the Pontifical Council of the Laity-Women's Section (you can find her talk in the 'Featured Essays' section of this website), Dr. Deborah Savage, Prof of Philosophy and Pastoral Ministry (St. Paul Seminary, St. Paul Minnesota), Elizabeth Holmes, Assoc. Member of Staff at Maryvale, and Michele Schumacher, editor of 'Women in Christ: Toward a New Feminism'- a lovely book with essays by of course Ms. Schumacher, Sr. Prudence Allen, Francis Martin, Jean Bethke Elshtain and Marguerite Lena, among others.
